hi
just lookin for some help setting up vdj to use headphones pluss my speakers.
i have 2 sound cards 1 built into the laptop and a external usb sound card.
i have read up on some topics of the same question but none of the solutions seem to work for me.
i have set my sound setup in config to:
inputs: none
outputs: headphones
sound card(s): 2 cards

sound card: primary sound driver
second card: usb audio

output chanels : master : first card / headphones : second card

as far as i can tell that looks fine to me but im only now gettin sound in the headphones.
i carnt see why this is not working for me.
if any 1 can help please do.

SOLVED THIS

finally got it working it was something simple.
if any 1 els has this problem just change ur sound setup in config to the same as above
but make sure that ur primary sound card is actually changed to tha name of ur sound caard
in this case mine was called realteck hd audio

inputs: none
outputs: headphones
sound card(s): 2 cards

sound card: primary sound driver <------------------ (MAKE SURE YOU CHANGE THIS TO THE NAME OF YOUR SOUND CARD)
second card: usb audio

output chanels : master : first card / headphones : second card

so you can use both jacks at the same time your usb headphone jack and computer headphone jack?

What is the difference (in computer functionality) between primary sound card and "name of sound card"??

This refers to the default soundcard used by Windows.

In this case, if the USB audio was Windows default, the primary in VDJ, and he was selecting it also for the second card, then the Realtek was not used at all...
