cu pOpY No, since 6.0.3 is a bug fix only, there aren't any new features released for the NS7 yet. I guess that'll be adressed in 6.0.4 ;) |

Even tho i'm not a fan VDJ, have to say good work.. still there are some hiccups with pitch blend that is grossly noticeable when moving it up or down while playing a track

cu pOpY Start / Stop -- would need to add something *new* to make this happen ... will make note for next release MIC/AUX -- we discussed this and would require making some change to the soundcard setup (*new*) ... ideas right now is to possibly add a dedicated NS7 Soundcard option or possibly make it an option to select from the INPUTs drop-down ... but it is on the list to look at. This is most likely because the latency is set to low ... I spent a lot of time testing the various settings for the best 'sound' and came up with the following settings ... PC - 512 samples in the Numark Driver Control Panel / VDJ Performance settings - Latency AUTO, Unchecked Safemode/Overclock, Scratch Optimized for Quality, Filters 11 with Filter Smooth checked, 48<->44 settings to 11 and Filter Smooth checked, Master Tempo on Fast ... these are pretty much Default Settings for VirtualDJ from install. Mac - same VDJ settings. Now the NS7 settings, I could never get the Numark Driver panel to open so I could change the latency of the card. So, I had to run ITCH and make sure the slider was to the far right - think 20 was the number on their scale. In both cases I found the performance very comfortable and functional ... I will admit that I could get the settings much better, but for a consistent sound and a universal setting for both platforms this is what I came up with. |

still having the same problems as before with the sound problems with the platters on wtf... f virtual dj don't release 6.0.3 till you have all the bugs worked out |

Then you have the latency set incorrectly ... if the latency is outside the bounds of the performance of your system then when the platters are ON you will immediately notice it .... The issue is resolved - you are trying to run your system beyond it's performance capabilities.
And if you didn't notice ... this thread was started by a Numark Representative ... so maybe you meant that Numark and VirtualDJ are incorrect for releasing a version that we both independently validate as working. |

I had to help a buddy earlier tonight who seemed to be stuck at 6.0.2 no matter how many times he installed the update. Make sure you delete everything of VDJ (back up your library though), the software, folders containing mappers/skins/preferences etc and get rid of old reg files/plist files (depends if you're on mac or pc). Then you should be able to make a clean 6.0.3 install. I've been testing for several days now with a 2 year old MacBook (2.0 GHz Core2Duo, 2GB RAM) and I can run VDJ with the performance slider set to "Best" and latency at 2ms with no problems at all. Please try a re-install, and if you still are experiencing problems please let me know so I can try to help you ;) |

cstoll wrote : k_one ... please clarify your settings ... you are NOT using video ... you are only doing audio - correct?
You would be giving a false impression of the performance capabilities without clarify how you use the controller. That is why I posted what I listed above. That's correct cstoll. With the above mentioned settings I use it for audio only. It seems that my macbook is not powerful enough to do two tracks of video and the NS7 at the same time. (Video however works fine in version 5.2.1) ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ kslimm0714, what are your computer specs? it might be easier to determine the problem if we had some info about your system ;) |
