Picked up a new laptop and need to get the drivers for VMS2 loaded.
Unfortunately the newer systems do not have CD-Rom drives anymore.
Is there a way to transfer from one laptop to the newer one?

Plug the external hard drive you use for backup into the new laptop and load the driver from there.

You could download the driver from the manufacturers web site.

You could transfer the file you kept on your old laptop (in case you ever needed to reinstall) onto a USB flash drive, then plug that flash drive into the new laptop.

You could connect both computers to a network and transfer the file that way. You could also use a crossover network cable to link them directly.

You could send it wirelessly from one to the other, using Bluetooth or wi-fi.

You could upload it to a file storage/sharing site from the old computer then download it from the new one.

etc. etc.

I actually tried to install from an external drive yesterday, but it did not work.
I recopied from the cd to external drive again. Installed onto new
laptop, and it now works.
Must have been a glitch in the copying of files the first time.
Thanks
