All of my video effects (text, slideshow, clipbank etc) have all stopped working since the new update to VDJ 7.4. I use these effects a lot at majority of my DJ jobs. I could really use some help with this issue. This is why I rarely update programs when they work perfectly fine. Is there a way to roll VDJ back to a previous version that actually worked for my needs?

Yes there is, if you can remember the version you used you can re download it. it is on one of the V8 forums I believe.
