i have windows vista on my laptop where I use my vdj6 pro with hercules rmx. Will vdj8 work on vista?

It "should" work but Vista is not recommended due to it's poor midi implementation and it's general sluggishness.
Why not download the V8 demo and try it as that will determine whether your machine will work or not.

I did download the vdj 8 demo and so far it's working well and i still have vdj 6 on the same laptop. Im just wondering if i download the actual vdj 8 will it work the same..

The "actual" VDJ 8 is exactly the same file. The only difference is that you need to log in to VDJ 8 so that your license is enabled.
If you already hold a Pro license then you'll need to use the account to which it's registered. At the moment you only appear as a Home user.
