And yet again it's got that dreaded word "Serato" standing out like a sore thumb.

I need some thick permanent black markers.....

take this, better than permanent marker or a black tape ;o)

I hate that serato mark, It's just a reminder that you paid for a serato licence if you wanted one or not, or if you had one already.

V Not needed V

Well Serato or not I like what they've done by not layering everything g together. Sure some things are still clumped up but I could work with that. This controller has a lot 2 offer, just looks busy, which I welcome.

I'm sure everything will work just fine with VDJ other then the effects section........

I thought they would bring out an upgrade to the 6000, strange.

Those jogg wheels are even bigger, I thought they would of gone in the S8 direction with smaller joggs or non at all leaving more room for switches, knobs and buttons.

A lot of people complained that the jogs on the MC3000 / MC6000 were too small!

It looks more like a NI controller now, not as robust as the previous ones. Probably cost cutting since Denon have been sold.

I'm a satisfied MC3000 user but I wish I had those long pitch faders. Denon makes amazing controllers. I don't like all the colors on this one though.

Dumb question but will MC4000 be compatible with virtual dj?

is it just me or is it odd to have the sample pads right in the middle

Atomix Productions can also pay to have its logo on controllers. It is there any reason why Atomix Production neglect to have its logo printed on equipment?
Image is all and Serato is standing tall. Here is a simple solution for Atomix to save face, have a decal in each controller's package which has VDJ software to also include a decal with VDJ logo.

Sample pads in the middle of the MC4000 are genius.

Is it compatible with VDJ 7.4

I'm thinking of getting this unit, I have the MC3000 and it perfectly maps to VDJ 7.4, does this unit do the same
