I need an answer from someone way smarter than I am :)
I run my Mac to an amp, then to passive speakers. Sometimes I get songs that will not play correctly (missing background vocals, etc). What are the proper settings I need to have adjusted in VDJ?

Sounds like you have a dodgy lead or a stereo jack plug where it should be mono, if it's a stereo jack try pulling it out one "stop" that may cure it, if not get a mono jack and put the two inner cores to the bottom pin and the earth wire(s) to the upper part, 2 min solder job. That's the best I can offer with the information given and the snake bites I've drunk, lol.
You could do the same with the jack plug you have if it's not one that is factory made.
