Hi,
I have a Numark NS7II. Fairly recently, the channel 2 gain fader started misbehaving by not being in sync with the actual controller.
See demo here:
https://youtu.be/EUI5HkkI6H4
The fader on the controller is at the top, but the software is not able to read that properly
I have tried cleaning with a contact cleaner but that has not solved the issue. I did this for the crossfader sometime back and it worked.
Kind regards.

Check with midiox, see what readings the slider is kicking out, it maybe fader bleed, dirty contacts, it doesn't look like a floating earth issue.
BTW up faders aren't "gain", gain is amplification, up faders are a gate or a like valve [determines how much of the gained signal is allowed to pass through]

If the contact cleaner didnt do the job, i would advise you to contact Numark as it appears to be a Hardware issue.
If it was a software one, most likely all Volume faders would act similarly.
