i found my ipad 4 after 3 years of mia. so i went out and got the y-cable connected it to channel 4s line in put. and yay. i hav a ton of apps i used to play around with. one is the korg kaos pad app. now since the ddj.sz2 does NOT have a send and return. all im trying to do is use the kaos app to make random noises during my vdj 8.2 sets. AND be recorded onto the wav vdj created when i do a set.

Yes.
Just set the input switch on top of channel 4 to line-in position.
PS: By default SZ2 uses it's own USB sound interface for record loopback.
This means that VirtualDj will record ANYTHING that goes out of controller's "master" output (including MIC's, line inputs, e.t.c.)

right on. thank you! now i might have an actual purpose for it. lost it when i moved to the new house. and found it in the basement.
