It's probably new builds of VDJ2021 - there has been 10-15 different full public versions of VDJ2021 by now
However you can turn it on by disabling auto updates in the settings
If you still get a pop-up after that there may be 1 update already on your laptop ready to be installed (depending on your previous setting). Then you may need to remove that update file

If the auto update gets stuck, try download and run the full installer from here:

That will put you on latest and greatest ;-)

When you open the Settings, look in the lower left corner. It will show you the version number. Right now the lastest seems to be:
v8.5-64 b6294
The version 8.5 seems to stay the same most of the time. The bxxxx changes. That appears to be the build number. I suspect each time you update, you're getting a new build. So it probably is updating, even if it doesn't seem to be.
