Forum: PC Version Technical Support - Topic: a bunch of bugs on 5.1 running on vista [SOLVED]

i have lots of bugs going on and i had 5.0 rev6 running before updating to 5.1.
everything was working fine on my previous rev6 a week ago until the bugs started. i updated hoping the bugs would get fixed but its still the same.

here are the bugs:
-effects wont work. clicking on effects wont do anything, absolutely nothing.

-clicking through effects to see if anything work i found out that clicking on TK Filter v2 gives me this error: "Error opening Xml plugin file"

-clicking on vocals COMPLETELY closes VDJ and sometimes gives me the smiley face error but im not able to click on it because the dreaded "Virtual DJ has an error and is now closing" error from Vista.

-my hercules dj control mp3 is not recognized by VDJ. it's activated under Remote Controls but its grayed out and none of the lights on the DJ control is on. and yes, i have the latest update driver from the hercules technical support website.

-pressing Recurse on the My Music folder (or any other) COMPLETELY closes VDJ. similar to when i click vocals under Effects.


alrite guys, im desperate here.. any help would be awesome.

by the way im running on a Vista 32-bit home premium SP1, AMD Athlon 64 X2 Dual processor 3800 2.00GHz, 1.00GB RAM

You should enter your serial number here so that folks don't think you're on the sly, using a crack. They are more willing to help if they know you're on the level ;)
