Still think you may need a better quality splitter, try a store that has a returns policy.

If your splitter is not amplified it will not work, I have an amplified splitter and powered 6 monitors and one projector all night long with no problem.
This is what I use http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/476206-REG/SIIG_VV_S80012_S2_VGA_8_Port_Video_Splitter.html
I use my unit every week for the past two+ years...

I would agree with this. I think you need something with an amplifer similar to this: VGA SPLITTER WITH AMPLIFIER
I use something similar to this and run two two monitors with a 150' VGA cable to the front of the church. Running 4 LCD TV's with the same type setup.

I am having Tiger Direct replace the powered splitter. That is what I purchased and what the link in the earlier post shows. Something may be wrong with it though because it's hard to turn on. I have to hit the power button several times for it to turn on and stay on.
This is a short video of what I'm experiencing.

This is the product I have and Tiger Direct is replacing.

I can see your video just fine ....
What resolution do you have the 2nd Monitor output set at ? What happens if you choose 800x600 or 1024x768 ?
It looks like a refresh frequency issue.

City, did you try to move this thing away from the power cord? I noticed in the video that the VGA cables was lying on the power cord or two. This will cause interference a lot of times especially with VGA signals.

I have the same splitter from TigerDirect and I am having no problem with it. I have it running to my 2 Vizio 32" LDC TV's. Maybe you have bad VGA Cables or a bad Splitter (more likely) as my splitter is real easy to turn off and on?

Ok, djcity I also have the same dell monitor you have and set it at 1024x768 for it to work properly....

Here are the results.....
No Good.
New splitter that turns on and off with no problem but I still have the waves on the screen. My next test is gonna be me setting up everything at home and testing it with MY tv.

Florescent light fixtures creates an electrical force field and will cause an adverse effect on monitors and electronics...Try setting up in a new area.
Also an outlet filter will help get rid of bad signal feedback through the electrical source...
Good Luck,
Joey...
