Do you operate your device while running hidtrace ?
Also does it send regular report pages ?
What kind of device is it ?

That's pretty tragic, I identified vendor by sight [sorted out using a logitech powerpoint remote for somebody yesterday]

vid 0x046D pid 0xC52F
Logitech, Inc.
Unifying Receiver

I don't think it sends HID as vdj can use it, but check your keyboard mapper if it inputs there [the clicker I worked on, sent keystroke data]

I believe hidtrace ignores keyboards & mice input, but can't say for certain.

The hidtrace is useful for HID devices that work as such in VirtualDJ and intended to assist creating definition files for HID controllers that will be detected in VirtualDJ. Since devices like keyboard, mouse etc are not considered HID devices for VirtualDJ, this application may not be useful if you need it for purposes outside VirtualDJ.
there are a few other applications out there to display data from any USB device (MIDI or HID) , such as USBLyzer
