Normally work a regular gig Friday night to a crowd of about 600-700 people. The manager, knowing the Wednesday before Thanksgiving is the biggest night of the year and the Friday after is usually kind of quiet decided to put me on Wednesday night (which was cool because we did over 1000 people) but give me Friday off as it would be slow...........
While Friday night was slow (they only did 300 people), they lost over 200 of them before 11pm because there was no Dj (me) and the Videos....at the end of the night all the servers wrote out a petiton, signed it and presented it to the manager that none of them would work a Friday night again if i wasn't scheduled....talk about having my back!
