there is a lag on the seach when filepath is selected, too. (more so on systems with 100,000s of files.
i learent the other day if i just have search title and search artist selectd, then the search will be quicker. i'll test this out tonight.

this problem really sucks. and i have to search via filepath, filename, artist, year, genre, comment.
