question:

do i hook up the 3700 with a usb conn. to get midi support?

cause i did that and it does not work...

yes that what you are supposed to do...i got the hs5500 and i am getting same issues, it just doesnt work like it supposed to, actually works better with vdj 5.2.1 but as of now i am stickin with 5.2.1 and time code. hopefully someone can help us!

it's working on and off for me. I worked at first but it drops out and it's hard getting it to work now.

i have a que point set at the start of song (auto que set to always) when load the song it goes straight to the que point but after i start the song then hit que on the 3700's it does not go to the que... jumps back to 3-4 sec. before to songs begins... is there a way to fix?

our is it because the 3700's are not hook up as a midi device? (treated like 1200's TT's)

also if no fix how does VDJ look at the song when loading in timecoded mode?
maybe there is a way to adjust that?

i select the denon 3700 midi mapper in vdj and nothing happens... does not work... is anybody having this problem with them (3700)

i want a little more control from them then just play, pause, scratch (timecode).
in my other system i have the 4500 works great!!! i don't even half to use the mouse...

that what im looking for plus more!!!! in the 3700 mapper... especialy when these thing cost $1700.00

Ok ... using the 3700 as MIDI devices ...

Are the units still at the factory defaults ? Or, did you assign MIDI channels to each unit? They need to be at the default - both units.

I have not change anything on the units so i guess the answer to ur ? is yes
the only thing i've done is play them with ext. hd's, cd's and timecode cd's

So are they plugged into the computer via the USB cable and you have installed any drivers necessary ?

yes there are plug in and no i have not installed any drivers
what i did was went to cfg in vdj (6.0) mappers tab selected denon 3700 then ok

Was 3700 listed when you first went into the Mapper tab, or did you have to uncheck the Show only connected devices?

no it was not...

Ok, well then you might need to load any drivers that came with your Denon's ... also, might want to download the 6.0.1 that was released.

here is how mine are hooked up:
-Plug them in USB, installed the drivers from the Denon Disc provided with the units
-I booted the units and clicked the midi button. Once they are connected, they will say "Connected"
- I open VDJ. If they connected correctly, the screens on the 3700's go almost blank and will no longer say "Connected". This means they are connected and mapped to VDJ. If they don't go blank, maybe a "0" in the top left corner, there is an issue. If that's the case, go into the mapper tab and click "Rescan devices"

The main key is that the screen on the 3700's will appear blank as they are waiting for a song to be loaded.

I had a few issues as well getting mine up and running but that order seems to work. I would not open VDJ until the midi link on the units says connected. Also, in VDJ under mapping, the only option I have checked is "Use Midi Device". I unchecked all the others.

i have a denon 3700 on my pc. am using wxp, i have virtualdj 6, my denon are playing but deck 1 when on vynl mode deck 2 also go on vynl mode also, when deck 1 is been played deck 2 platter not responding however if i stop deck 1 then deck 2 platter now is active and is responding, ANY HELP PLEASE!!!!

This is a problem that was present in version 6.0.1 and was correct in 6.0.2 ... please download the latest trial (v6.0.3) and you will see the problem is resolved.
