Native Instruments have just released new Traktor DJ Studio 2.61. It is really great program, many new options. Now, it is really question which one is better? VDJ or IMT Traktor?
Virtual DJ has many great stuff like effects, in other way Traktor detects key of the song, have great filters, bar with indicators (sound card processor, laptop battery) and.... much more. I would say, Virtual DJ is VERY VERY VERY powerful toy, with many options and it is very easy to use, while Traktor is VERY professional program which have standard + additional controls.
I would like to hear other people opinions.

Well, I prefer VDJ over Traktor, but I like very much Traktor wideness filters. Why not include them in a new release of VDJ?

Reasons I prefer VDJ over Traktor and other dj software :
- Free upgrades & updates (Traktor costs money each time)
- Faster development, and better support
- Skins
- Dual wave display
- and more
And point nr 2.... faster development.... IMPORTANT for me ;) and free so far the updates and upgrades
Key detection I know the Dev Team is looking into ;) and LOTS MORE...
So, VDJ is ahead, and will stay well ahead of the others...

- Auto beat-lock! nothing else has it but vdj.
- Skins was a big one with me.
- A lot easier to get a good mix, quick.
- I like Traktor's beat markers. But if your BPM reading is accurate, then you don't have to do much in vdj.
