since 5.2 was always lagging and there was a concern about the laptop i made a $ 3,000 investment in purchasing a new laptop
hp-hdx 16t (fully loaded)
vista 64 home
8GB ram
intel 2.93 dual core
music: 185,000
and yet, vdj 6.0.1 seems to stall very often.
i jsut keep messing around with the search, type, erase, type erase, and it freezes. sometimes for a very long time.
please resolve asap.

I run VDJ on a 64 bit OS often. It has performed flawlessly for me. You might have a conflict of some sort. I suggest starting a thread in the PC section, laying out your system, (specs, controllers etc. etc.) and see if you don't find a resolution there.

As above, WoW64 that is supplied as part of the x64 OS allows VirtualDJ to work. I know of no issues besides driver issues with running on a 64-bit OS other than the obvious 32-bit limitations.
In the past you've had database issues and you do have a large database. What fields you have selected for searching can also affect performance.
