In this last time I was trying to match the gain of the songs with the click of my mouse right, and saw out a little better mixes. What say?

If your talking about the output of the tracks so they are of equal volume then deffo. I have always done this manually and used my ears to do it either through the live transition or through the headphones.
The worst thing is having a track mix in at a lower volume and you don't want it to be higher as you will run out of room on the gain knob eventually.
