How to use add ons
(effects, skins etc...)

I got the pro 7 for my mac and I try to download these effects / filters / skins and stuff but I don't know how to pull it up on the software when I activate it.

its like i paid for this **** for nothing because I can't even use these effects. >:O
I bought the Kontrol x1 so i could use effects and now i have to use some other software to use it.

I am not about to cough up another couple of bills just to use that **** and have virtual dj sitting here on my computer being useless when I have no effects being able to be used on it.

if someone had this problem please let me know what you did or are doing to resolve it because I tried calling the company and they won't even answer.. I am not satisfied for **** -___-

Please be polite in your forum posts, especially when you are looking for help from other users. Do not use offensive language and/or swear words.

Hey guys.. i just purchased my first NUMARK MIXTRACK it came with everything including the installation disk, When I open it up and install and do the whole process.. just when it's about to open it says Invalid Skin File (error line %i in the xml) .

and it won't let me do anything..

and when I did open it up on my actual virtual DJ it said I had to buy the PRO version and it wasn't letting me mix with my new NUMARK for more than 10 minutes. IDK whats going on guys... if any of you guys can help out that'd be awesome..

Please also register your VirtualDJ LE serial number on the page http://www.virtualdj.com/users/edit.html and download the most recent version of LE from http://www.virtualdj.com/download/updates.html

If it says that you can only use it for 10 minutes then you are trying to use features only available in the full VirtualDJ Professional, e.g: Output both left/right deck separately to an external mixer. Please see http://www.virtualdj.com/products/comparison.html

Can anyone help me please I use Use Virtual DJ for my personal pleasure at home and at family parties.
I am using V7.03 on a Mac pro laptop -my problem is as follows
I have the following folders in my VDJ program
Music which expands to MP3 - Videos- Karaoke -New karaoke .and to look at what files I have I simply click on the folder and it expands instantly for me to look at my files no problem.
My problem is I also have 53 GB of old karaoke files in MP3 format for the music and a CDG file for the lyrics ie 2 files for each Karaoke song. aprox 9732 karaoke mp3 files and 9732 CDG files
My problem is if I click on the file to expand it a colored cursor appears and it takes about 5-6 minutes for the file to expand and this happens each time i click on the folder.
Is there any way around this problem as when the cursor appears it locks out the program - it will carry on playing the current song but will not allow me to load another song until the floler is expanded.

Hi guys I'm new to all of this.. i have the following gear,

2 denon s3700
pioneer djm 400 mixer
macbook pro 2.0 15"

VDJ 7 pro

i don't know what I'm doing wrong, everything looks OK but when i hit play on my s3700 (hybrid mode) , it does spin but the only sound coming out is a high pitch and not music! do i have to get a denon mixer? i don't know if my pioneer djm 400 is the problem here..

what would be the proper configuration for my set?? please help meee

Why are you running 3700 in Hybrid mode? The 3700 is native to VDJ so you run it in MIDI mode. Since its native all the buttons work and already mapped. I also experience better platter response.

When I select all of the files to be scanned and tell it to scan for bpm, it keeps crashing. After a lot of trial and error, seems like I can only scan so many at a time without it crashing.

Never had this problem with Serato Scratch Live.

PLEASE HELP!!! I have a mac mini, virtual pro 7, I tag the drive then when i shut down and re start....NO TAGS I HAVE TO TAG THIS EVERY TIME??? HELLLLPPPP!!!

Why are you running 3700 in Hybrid mode? The 3700 is native to VDJ so you run it in MIDI mode. Since its native all the buttons work and already mapped. I also experience better platter response.


To best answer: 2960 pulses from the platter instead of 1480. How does that sound for the response? VDJ should at least be able to handle that. That would eliminate need for Hybrid from IMAC users.

Im using the IDJ3 with mac VDJ PRO. Recently when i open up VDJ and plug in the IDJ3 controller, i am able to load songs and the slider moves and everything fine but when i hit play on the controller it won't actually play anything. I have to mess around with the sound configs for a while then it will allow me to hit play/pause/cue from the controller....any ideas what might cause this?

Cannot get the music to play through the NS6 then to the mains. it's only coming out of the macbook speakers, yet all the other sounds using vdj (warning sounds/dialogue box popups) DO come from the speakers?? any ideas?

I just downloaded the skin for the MC-6000. Its awesome. I notice it takes up most of the screen leavening very little space on the bottom for viewing the songs. Is there a way to increase the song area?

Hi,

I was wondering if anyone knows what configurations (I'm getting 0% quality) I need to get the Serato CV02 timecode vinyls to work through VDJ 7.
I'm running it through my hercules mk4 & using that as a mixer/ external sound card

I just bought and downloaded the VirtualDJ Pro for my macbook pro. and i entered the serial from my purchase. the startup screen appeared and everything went smoothly until it came to "initializing external devices". and it freezes and doesnt respond. ive tried uninstalling and installing it again, restarted my computer and it still doesnt work. PLEASE HELP!
