As a wedding DJ, I create some playlists in advance (cocktails/dinner/dancing/must plays/etc).
Making a multi tab playlist would be pretty awesome. Of course, it will have to keep in sync w/ automix depending on which tab has focus. Or that could be a setting as well.
If assignable to select decks, a nice way of programming different portions of a venue w/ remote link. Just a thought. :)

I've Made similar suggestions in the past for this type of feature of adding Tabs in AutoMix Panel for different on demand PlayList, but hopefully after all the work that's been put into ver. 7, lets hope it will be more possible now then before to implement this very much needed feature..

Why not just use Virtual Folders on the left?

Because you woun't have to think or drag anything once it's done, just play on demand, not having to break your stride mixing or what ever you're doing, just click and done when needed.
Karaoke and wedding events require more customer interaction then DJin', so getting your predefine playlist ready and on cue allows you more time for customer service and better concentration on any live mixing you may be doing, like videos, pictures, event announcements, ect.
@ewitles maybe you can make some additional points here...

I like the idea, but seems like your play list should be the only one and the must plays should go on the side list. Then I have all my "event" (dinner, cake, garter, etc) playlists to pick from on the left. All those lists were made in iTunes so they can be nested under main catagory folders like Dance (by Genre), Decades, Slow songs, Events (special sections of events like dinner, cake cutting, dollar dance, etc).
This is close to what you want and does work well for me. I also try to organize the side list in order to play that night. Other than normal client requests which get thier own play list. The side list would be my ideas in the moment, crowd shout outs and crowd special requests.
What could be nice is a "Special dedication" field in the side list, for Birthday notes like age, etc.

We are doing what you suggest now cause we have no choice, "Sidelist", VF" &"RF" but you still have to dragg it to a deck.
The 2nd playList idea would be, set it and forget it, on cue and in the order you place it just like the one PlayList we have now, convenient and easy to set up.., but Two would be better....
