hello everybody,
This upcoming Gemini Deck looks pretty good. I know Gemini in the past had a bad rep for some weak products, but lately especially in they'r e last Powered speaker series the GVX series, weren't bad at all. I know they're past speakers from like 20 years ago when they were with RHino, not sure about they're Decks. What are your first impressions and thought's about this All In One Deck the CDMP 7000????
I like the features so far.. But than again no one can know how well it performs yet.. I'm not in a group or anything like that, I'm by myself as a DJ for a long time now. Setting up a secondary backup Laptop can just take up some time along with everything else, which i really have no problem with. but having an all in one stattion like this sounds like something that can really suit my needs for less gear and reduce setup/breakdown times. I thought about the Numark Mixdeck Express, but i like the interface with the screen and the waveforms on the gemini, can make searching for cue points and such faster than the regular mixdeck standard screens. I can't really afford the awsome Pioneer CDJ 2000's right now.. 2 decks

I own a Mexdeck express myself and I don't like the fact that the built in sound card is not ASIO, the Gemini unit will have a much better built in sound card and it looks like it will pack a nice set of features but I cant really comment on it since I haven't played with one myself.

I own a 7000 the unit is solid and the sound card in them is very hi quality. if there is an issue with them its the bpm reader its not accurate so if you want to lock it with the lock feature as soon as you load another track its off by miles. this is with the latest firmware that suppose to have bug fixes.. the effects are basic and dont seem to have much in the way of control the flange LFO is set at one speed. That aside the unit has a massive amount of features comparable with pioneer CDJ's and works as if it was 3 seperate units, that being 2 seperate CDJ's indipendant of each other and a mixer.

Hi,
Just wanted to ask you. Are you able to adjust the contrast of the VDF display on the jogwheels by holding down the contrast button and moving the jog wheels. I also own a CDMP 7000 but my Jogwheel's VDF display is extremely low. The main LCD works just fine.
Thanks

Good Night! I have a CDMP-7000 is mapped to Virtual DJ LE (according to instruction manual?) How do I purchase the product (software) and how to set it up as a midi controller?

It will be better if you get the license for Virtual DJ, but in the mean, and I'm not sure if you can do it with the LE version of VDJ, you just have to download the Asio drivers from Gemini for your CDMP7000, and the files associated with HID and Devices, put them in the right folders, and you are set to go.

which files associated with HID have to download?

If it came with VirtualDJ LE included then simply register the its serial number to your account and then download it from the Download Center. If you have lost the serial number for it, please see http://www.virtualdj.com/forums/151663/General_Discussion/Lost_Serials_-_VirtualDJ_LE_or_any_other_version.html
Otherwise, if it didn't come with VirtualDJ LE included then you will need to purchase the full VirtualDJ Professional to be able to use it. NOTE: Mapper downloads are only available to registered licensed full VirtualDJ Pro users.

Help Please!
Just purchased the Gemini CDMP 7000, can't get it working with VDJ, I have a licensed copy of VDJ but when I set up to the Gemini instructions both the decks (VDJ) load opposite to the main unit, also the tune plays through fader 2 & 3 with no way to separate the signal - does anyone have an idiots guide to set this up please - many thanks in advance

The version of VirtualDJ that you currently have registered is a limited edition (LE) and will only work with the Pioneer XDJ-R1 (Except during the 20 day trial of the full VirtualDJ Professional.)
To be able to use it with other controllers such as the Gemini CDMP7000, you will need to upgrade to the full VirtualDJ Professional at a discount.
Regarding the decks loading on opposite sides, please see our FAQ pages: http://www.virtualdj.com/wiki/Decks%20inverted%20on%20MIDI%20controller.html
Make sure that it is also configured correctly: http://www.virtualdj.com/wiki/Gemini%20CDMP-7000.html

Thank you for the advice support team, I do however run this with a licensed copy of VDJ Pro, not the LE version for the XDJ1, I have downloaded the Gemini Asio drivers and the midi mappers to no avail, the decks continue to load opposite and when you play a song it comes out of channels 2 & 3 at the same time, I have set according to instructions but the same problem keeps occurring, help please before I send the unit back as it does not function as advertised

This detailed guide http://036e39f.netsolhost.com/wordpress1/wp-content/uploads/2013/01/CDMP-7000_VDJ_Quickstart1.pdf will probably solve your issues. The last part of the guide is showing you how to assign the decks in case they dont have the proper order.

Again support team thank you for your quick response, I have tried configuring in every possible combination, the decks are assigned correctly in the mapper section but still they load opposite and the selected song plays out of both channels at the same time, do you have any other possible solutions before I return the unit?

Hi support team, got the mapping and deck assignment sorted - however when you are playing a track from the midi option on deck one and switch deck 2 to CD mode it stops the midi track on the other deck dead!
What is the problem please?
