The VMS2 is changing pitch settings randomly.
All files are analyzed.
I have a couple that were analyzed at 67 bpm. All of
a sudden the next time I loaded the track and played;
It jumped to 167 BPM.
I previously had the gain in VDJ set as Auto-Remember.
The pitch was changing most of the time. I changed the
setting to Auto and all was fine until recently.
Any suggestions please?

If you have auto pitch matching enabled in VirtualDJ's options then it will automatically adjust the pitch of each song as you load it to match the BPM of the other deck. If you are using a hardware controller with a pitch control and prefer to beat match manually, then you should turn this off along with pitch reset on load.

Thank you. these are settings.

Auto Pitch matching: disabled.
Auto Gain: Auto
Pitch reset on load: enabled
FX reset on load: enabled
Auto Cue; disabled
Auto headphones: enabled
Disengage beatlock: manual
Smart Beat tap: enabled
Allow BPM<80; smart

These are the settings I Previously used with the RMX, the only difference was
I had gain at auto-remember.
Had no problems. Problems only started with the VMS2.
I will try Disabling Pitch reset on load.

I tried all that,did not work;
However I think I may have found the problem.
I re mapped the "vinyl mode" on the vms2 to goto_first_beat.
I have reset it to factory, vinyl_mode. So far it is not changing pitch.
Since I do not use the vinyl, I wanted to ,map it to go to the first beat.
I now have settings as:
Gain: auto+remember (Is that correct)
Pitch set on load: disabled
Auto pitch matching: disabled

Is there another way to map a key on the vms2 to go to the first beat,
without interfering with the pitch?

Thanks

Gain : auto+Remember is useless with the VMS2, as the Gain sliders dont affect the Gain of the software. Both Auto and Auto+remember will act the same if your files have not been used in the past from other midi controllers (or manual gain adjustments from the skin).

I think that your problem was not related to the vinyl_mode key or the goto to First beat action. You can still map that key, anything you need. the goto first beat action will not change the tempo/pitch of the song.

Thank you.
All tracks have been analyzed. Most were played before with the RMX.
Any recommendations on how to keep it from changing pitch?
Also should I just disable the Gain:?

After trying everything suggested, pitch still keeps changing randomly.
It happens on either deck. I mapped a key as suggested like this:
deck left smart_play off & deck left smart_cue off & deck left beatlock off & deck right smart_play off & deck right smart_cue off & deck right beatlock off
After VDJ started I pressed the mapped key to shut all this off,but it still changed
the pitch within VDJ.
Any other suggestions please?

Is it always happening on the same deck/side ? There might be a faulty slider.

EDIT..Reading your first post again, if this occurs only with songs that have BPM lower than 80 bpm, then you should change the option to allow such values from CONFIG-->Options (Allow BPM<80)

Options (Allow BPM<80 are disable and smart. I have it on smart.
Also it does not matter BPM. I had one deck playing at 100 BPM.
The other deck BPM was 115, but it changed to 95 BPM.
Even mapped a key to turn off sync etc.
"deck left smart_play off & deck left smart_cue off & deck left beatlock off & deck right smart_play off & deck right smart_cue off & deck right beatlock off"
I press the mapped key when vdj first turns on, but it still changes .
Happened again last night. Today I tried the same tracks that were affected,
and they worked fine.
This never happened with the RMX, I am really confused.
Really appreciate you help.
Any other suggestions?

Does this occurs always on the same side/deck ?
Really cant think of anything else. There might be a hardware issue there. Some dust or a bad midi slider could also cause that behavior.

Happens on either deck. Volume sliders were set at the beginning of evening,
and not moved after that. Cross fader was in the middle and again never moved.
The changes are happening in the software, because the pitch sliders are
moving within VDJ and not on the VMS2.

I tried on my desktop with no controllers connected.
I get the same results, pitch changes randomly.
Settings are same as on gig machine.

I would suggest to visit our Chat Live Support and allow our Tech Agents to remotely connect with your computer for troubleshooting. I'm sure it will be a few minutes fix.
