When I'm playing with Virtual DJ using headphones, on my laptop, music sounds great at any volume. As soon as I plug my 6000 into the laptop USB, changes setting to Asio, at even low volumes my music sounds like there's a loudness setting on even at low volumes. I have no other problems with Virtual. I'm not sure how to check the Asio settings. The only setting I see is Audio Buffer Size. The driver is 2.2.1
My laptop has had all the audio tweeks and like I said, Virtual DJ sounds great without the Denon.
Any help would be appreciated.

I've done a lot of research since posting my question. I made a few adjustments and sounds good now. I guess I expected some advice from the pros, but then I don't contribute here much....

This is a common problem, the Asio drivers don't work well on all machines and this had been covered many times hence the reason no one responded.
