Hey Everyone,
First I'll give you the items i am using
1x djm700
2x cdj400
1x HP pavilliondv6 laptop
I do also have a berhinger uca222
Vdj Pro
My problem with recording is i seem to get a crackly sound when i listen to the playback of my mixes. When i play it through the mixer it seems fine. I've tried numerous things to change this but nothing seems to work. I have been working on this for a week now and i still havn't fixed it. If anyone could please help me out it would be greatly appreciated :)

Once you have done this, please check your computer for performance issues: http://www.virtualdj.com/wiki/Performance%20Issues.html
You may experience an issue like this if your hard disk cannot keep up with both reading/writing data at the same time. A slow 5400 RPM drive may not be able to keep up with reading/writing data at the same time, especially if you are playing videos which involve reading large amounts of data from the drive.
Also, if you are using two separate sound cards (I.e: Laptop + external), then issues like this can occur due to timing, latency and/or compatibility issues between the two cards. Using a proper dedicated multi-channel DJ sound card such as Numark DJIO is strongly recommended for optimum performance and sound quality.

Is there anything i can try to get rid of the crackling noise while i'm recording? I'm not recording videos just a basic audio mix.

If you follow the advice above then you should be able to use it, in particular:
* Purchase and use a legitimate version of VirtualDJ.
* Check your computer for performance issues and ensure that it is optimised for DJ performance.
* Use a proper dedicated DJ sound card such as Numark DJIO (Using two separate cards can commonly cause problems like this due to timing/compatibility issues, especially where both cards are a different model/manufacturer to each other.)
* Make sure your files load fully into memory (You see the entire overview waveform after loading.) If it loads bit by bit as you play the song, then it's streaming from disk causing additional disk activity. Check your max load setting.
* Upgrade your hard disk to a faster 7200 RPM model, or alternatively record to an external USB hard disk to alleviate writing to your internal disk.
