Can anyone recommend the best sound card for Virtual DJ. I have a PC running Windows 7. I also have an Allen & Heath 2 channel mixer. I am now using an American Audio Versa Port sound card but it is only 16 bit 44 Hz. I understand a 24 bit card would give me a much better sound. Any advice wold be greatly appreciated.
Thanks all,
Steve

A couple of hundred dollars would be ok.

What are you planning to play on your system? CDs are all 16 bit 44.1KHz, so you won't gain anything by ripping or playing those at 24 bit. Most commercially available downloads will also be 16 bit, because that's CD standard, and the majority of kit is designed for playback of that standard.
The only time you might benefit is if you're producing your own tracks (that don't use any 16 bit sounds) and mastering them at 24 bit. Even then, you'd have to have a pretty spectacular high end audio system in order to hear the difference in a typical venue.

I've had Numark DJ I/O and NI Audio 8... They both do the job. But I switched to these for better timecode signal.
They're a little bit expensive but they are built like a tank. So you won't need to worry if you plan on buying a used one.
