im not a W8 user as well so i no need for an update, ill wait for the BIG V8 to come out.

it seem that mavericks is out and about now, i hope thats what VDJ was waiting for.
xmas is around the corner as well, hopping for an early xmas present.
and to some of the pro users, you all should kno better that VDJ DO NOT SAY RELEASE DATES... shame on you guys , shame.
thanks VDJ team

Will Virtual DJ Version 8 be able to be run on Windows 7?
yes... even windows XP

Don't need the update because I don't have issues, but it is nice to see that there is still progress en bug fixing for a product that is almost replaced by another version.
Be thankfull all, because they could also say "deal with the bugs until V8 is there"
I remember they mentioned with V7.4 release that this was the last update before V8 is released :)
But still they fixed some bugs and another version number is added
So thumbs up!
Also al this extra work costs us nothing with the free updates. I like VDJ!

PSEFT, it has been "just around the corner" for just about THREE YEARS. Not 3 months, THREE YEARS.
The vapor ware product has been pushed for that long.
But be patient... everyone will say.

is there any chance of getting the listen function back with v8
geposted Fri 15 Nov 13 @ 8:25 am
@rocketron, what do you mean, "listen function"? If you mean Prelisten, it is still available in 7.4. You must click the eyeball at the top right corner just above the browser window and click "Show Prelisten".

VDJ 8 will have something even better than the prelisten function - the sandbox function.

make sure you have a back up of the 7.4..
the new update nuked my rms.. it was weird one side of the rms light up and the other deck didnt . I removed it asap.. and reloaded 7.4..I cant take a risk as Its my paycheck.. I am not going to even worry about it.. But if it was version 8. Im going to buy a new laptop the second it is released.

Unless any of the specific bug fixes affect you or to need new controller Support then there's no point installing it.

I just know downloaded and install this VDJ 7.4.1 and was fast. So far no problems. Just same as VDJ 7.4.

Ran it last night on a new system I just received. No issues on a 1080p screen running Win 8.1 with the Rusty 3.1 skin. Not sure if that was the high-DPI you guys meant or not, but ya, no issues at all. New computer, new OS & new software. Man, I was living dangerously last night...
