Topic: Microphone Issues

Dieses Thema ist veraltet und kann veraltete oder falsche Informationen enthalten.

Please take a moment and send a message to Tech Support to have these two issues resolved. This is too good a program to have these things fixed.

Issue 1: The option to have the microphone default set to "OFF" when starting the program.

Isn't it incredibly annoying when you start the program and you instantly get feedback because you're mic is plugged in??

Issue 2: The option to NOT hear your own voice when speaking on the mic, (or a button to turn it off after you do a sound check).

We all know there is a very slight however INCREDIBLY annoying delay when you speak on the mike. This comes through with everything else into your headphones, and it makes it very difficult to speak. I end up having to turn OFF my VDJ output completely so that I can speak normally, which then means I have to "guess" where an introduction ends and the singing begins, since I cannot hear the music. Again a very important and probably easy fix.

If enough people send messages suggesting these fixes, MAYBE they will finally be addressed.

Thanks for your help!

It's actually possible to do both those things in the full pro version - the latter by routing the mic to a deck and not PFL'ing it.

To me, these don't seem to be issues with VDJ but rather issues with your own kit.

The fix for issue one is to use a mic that has an on/off switch. The other option is to keep your speaker volume low when you start VDJ.

Issue two can be solved by using a professional low latency audio interface rather than the built-in PC sound card.

Not sure if understood the issues pretty well, but ..

MIC is turned OFF by default from VirtualDJ. Or rather, the MIC input of VirtualDJ is turned OFF, so there is nothing there that we need to change.

Most likely, some Windows Setting needs to be changed in your Sound Mixer (Recording Devices). Not related to VirtualDJ. Maybe you need to mute the MIc or rather , not allow the MIC to go through the Speakers and let VirtualDJ to take care of that.

Keep also in mind that Broadcaster version can only handle the Built In Mic Input and not any USB/External one.
