Not sure why it has crashed, but there is no need to repeatidly tap the button.

i tap it to get the correct bpm and after 4-5 taps the vdj8 crash

Team has your crash report already (automatically uploaded) so hopefully will be fixed soon.
As for the scratchwaves, currently they dont show the gridlines by default and if you happen to use some custom skins that do, its actually a "trick" which requires to manually adjust both rhtyhmwave and scratchwaves (via a dual slider) in order those to have the same speed.
So for the default skin we have chosen not include this "trick" and hopefully the scratchwave will have its own native grid lines soon.

Both are not easy. They require kind of surgery on the xml code :)
Better start looking for a custom skin that offers them or if u still wanna try i could possibly guide you with some steps, but not sure if you could follow them.

When you got both have a good indication of how long the song is played and how much remains Without touching the computer...
One more thing how do i config the 8 to load all of the long mix like the "infinite" that was in ver7 ?

setting MaxPreloadLength ..set to -1 (Infinity), but its not suggested. Better define a larger value in mins
