None of the "My Account" "My Home Page" and "My Messages" buttons which appear when logged in work anymore.

Thats a 5 years old browser ;) Should seriously consider upgrade.. or use Chrome, that works tons better and lightning fast..
(will see if i can make some Old IE tweaks, but its way way outdated... )
I would download Chrome if I were you, works great on XP, and ultra fast and modern :

Yes, please try to fix the IE layout.
As I said previousely. A good part of the day I'm forced to use the IE. It's also IE 8.xx unfortunately :(
Everytime I need to go to my messages or my account I've to search the sourcecode for the links...
And speaking of Chrome... I prefer Chromium or Iron ;)

I think I'm correct in saying that IE8 is the last version able to run on XP, so there will be large numbers of people still using it.
A lot of DJs have stuck with XP due to its maturity - and "if it ain't broke, don't fix it".
I have XP on my gig laptop, and have no plans to change it............unless I'm forced into it. Luckily VDJ 8 still runs on XP.

dont know what world you live in, but even Microsoft itself have stopped to support XP.
And firefox, chrome, safari, opera etc all works in XP..
That being said, nothing wrong with XP, but it utterly wide common knowledge that IE 8 and lower is crap, and not advised to not use anymore ... even Microsoft says so...
Not only is it extremely non standard and buggy, lacking support for modern websites, it has big security holes..
Bottom line, dont use IE 8 .. should be common sense by now ;)
XP itself being stable or not..

The same world as the millions of other people (and companies, and big corporations) that still use XP.

selective reading, yet again.. lol. said nothing wrong with XP , but IE 8 is not up for the modern websites at all, and is outdated by years, full of security holes.
Makes no sense to not get a modern browser, even if using XP .. Chrome for example works great on XP, and is getting updates, security fixes and more.
That being said , i dont think many corporations will even run XP for much longer, its officially no longer supported, and prone to attacks, viruses etc ..
https://www.us-cert.gov/ncas/alerts/TA14-069A-0 (USA Goverment - Security Alert - get rid of XP)
http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/enterprise/end-of-support.aspx (Even Microsoft itself say so)
Besides, less IE users in the world makes the world a better place ;)

Officially, no. But as long as you pay for it... like parts of the German government... idiots...
But ok, time from announcing the end of live for XP and the final EOL was really close and came too fast -_-

C'mon stop this nonsense. There is plenty wrong with XP, that's why Microsoft is done with it. People may still feel comfortable, and still want to use it, but that does not mean that the world should still cater to them. I liked it also, but there were plenty of reasons to move on. The people that made it, will no longer support it, so why should VDJ? Get over it, it's done, move on.

VirtualDJ 8 still support XP, so the website should also support XP and therefore IE 8.
It doesn't mean it needs to be *beautiful* on IE 8, but at least the buttons should work.
If they don't, it's a bug, and we'll fix it asap.

Thanks Steph.
To the other guys: FYI at no point did I say that I was using IE8. Your replies seemed to indicated that you thought I was.

Because as soon as he mentioned IE8 you said it was 5 years old, way outdated, he should upgrade, use another browser blah blah blah.
But (as PachN said) it won't always be possible for people to do that.
I was just stating the facts, because maybe you weren't aware.
geposted Thu 22 May 14 @ 6:48 am
Still say its outdated, and highly not recommended to use .. Its all over the net to stop use IE8, even been issued a security alert by US Homeland Security, as well as Microsoft itself, as it no longer has updates, and is full of security holes.. Just echoing the general consensus about using this browser. Its not recommended..
There are great alternatives for XP, that not only are maintained and get security fixes, but also supports modern websites, for example Chrome.
Anyways, IE 8 issue with buttons already fixed ;)

Yes, buttons are working now. Thanks for that.
But they are now looking like that

If it's a quick-fix, would not say no if you change it.
Otherwise, I'm ok with that.
Edit: Another thing, the friends lists' pictures are displayed too big.

And the pictures of the "They added you" are no links anymore.
Another EDIT:
The source shows that they ARE links. But I think you forgot a > here:
