Some audio files that worked and played in VDJ V7 wont load or play in V8. Track comes up as Error when loaded out of VDJ database. It has a green star over the musical note in side bar. They do play outside the VDJ software. and if you open up explorer and locate the file and drag into VDJ V8 they play. Files are 128 kbps / 220kbps. one is 5.72MB in size and 6 min 14sec long

If they play when u drop them from Explorer, then probably the links are broken. How do you find those files ?..using Search or from a Playlist ? If you locate the files manually from the folders list (left side) and load them without using any Search or Playlists, do they load fine ?

Have a look in the tag editor and see if it's "not found".

The database maintains it self. If you want to remove dead files you can do so here:
