Topic: Akai MPX8 or MPX16 with VDJ

Dieses Thema ist veraltet und kann veraltete oder falsche Informationen enthalten.

Hi @ll,

I want to buy one of these, not sure yet which one of them. Basically the 16 has more features then the 8.

But my question is, can they work with VDJ and if so, how?

Are you using one of these with VDJ?

Do you have an idea of how you would want to use them?

You could use a simple MIDI controller like the Nanopad to trigger samples in VDJ with similar results at a fraction of the price.

By itself, the MPx8 is a little disappointing feature-wise. I hope the MPx16 is better, but It doesn't look like Akai is willing to provide much updates and improvements if you can judge by their user forum...

Mostly I would want to trigger my samples. The advantage of the 16 is that you can also make samples with it. Okay that is not my biggest need, but might be a nice to have ocassionaly.

I will check out the Nanopad to see if it is more suitable.

In theory, any device that communicates via MIDI can be used with VDJ.

At the most basic level, you plug it into the computer. The computer recognises it as a MIDI device, at which point so will VDJ.

You can then map it via the VDJ config.
