I just installed vdj8 to test it out. I tried out the top skin and now can't change it. the config star button only bring up option for the decks. Is there a standard keyboard short cut. This has not happened before.

The top skin? You mean the internal one?
Star button? The settings/config button is the one with the gear icon. Clicking that will give you access to all settings - not just "for the decks". You need to select the required icon on the left of the config window.
May I suggest you start by reading the manual.

I also don't have the config button. I couldn't tell you if it had it before on 8.1. I just upgraded to 8.2 and the config button is not there. It's not a resolution issue. It fits on the screen it's just not there. I've never changed the skin when I fist installed VDJ on my Mac. How can I get the config button back? I know I had it when I had a PC but that was years ago. Please help.
