Virtual dj 8 is looking good guys.......Just toying with ideas really but I thought the ability to record and play back slicers on the fly...yes it sounds similar to Flip but I thought it would be an interesting addon to the already popular effect and no one has it.

I've had a flip system in a rudimentary form for a while now, when winter drops I'll be working on coding to record the flips to a dedicated xml,
As for recording slicer actions, I've a basic idea using repeat start but (this is only in my head atm) it feels awkward but I've yet to experiment.

I had seen your post earlier in the year while looking for scripting help. I was just throwing the idea out there, just thought why not try to boost an already good effect and give it that bit extra.
