Hi, hope the tech wizards have an idea what was going on today.
I am using BUILD 3780 on a Macbook Pro 2016 with Macos Sierra. Attached is a Motu Microbook II Audio Interface and a Numark Controller, both through USB.
Suddenly the music over the USB Motu stopped playing. Detaching and plugging in again did not work, also restarting VDJ. However the audio out over the Macbook's headphone jack still worked through VDJ, so I used that as a workaround for some songs. After a while I had a full system crash and my Mac switched off. Also interesting to note that the Numark controller which is attached to another USB socket on the Macbook stopped working too in the moment when the Motu stopped working. Also restarting VDJ did not change anything.
While this looks to me that MacOs is the culprid, I wonder if a setting within VDJ or the Build might have something to do with it. Or if there is anything from VDJ's side to help to avoid that in the future.
Thanks for any hints.

3790 should fix it

Why? Is there a known issue with USB that was resolved in the new build?

It does sound like a hardware or macos failure.
If it even persists after restarting vdj I'm afraid there's not much vdj could do to prevent it.

Hi Adion,
ok here are some more reports.
I bought a brand new Macbook Pro to check if the error is related to my machine. I installed MacOs freshly and used VDJ yesterday evening for 2 hours. After 75 Minutes it happened again that suddenly my USB connection (this time my controller) became unresponsive. My Motu Microbook continued to work though.
So I reverted back to v3771 from which I knew it used to work fine for weeks. With that version I am checking my setup again and so far no USB issues. VDJ is playing now for 15 hours constantly and it all works fine.
Dont know what is going on but maybe it would be good to investigate if there is anything related to VDJ's access / handling of USB (midi and sound) that has changed in the last builds that might have an influence on the stability of the system.
