I have a problem with the latest version of VDJ... every time i launch the program, it instantly freezes, it started to happen lately, on both of my PCs
Virtual DJ Build 4459, was working great until the last few days...
any ideas?

unfortunately this isn't the same issue...
In my case, VDJ does open, and it freezes right after... a mouse click anywhere in the program opens a "Virtual DJ isn't responding" dialog

Do you have any hardware connected to your computer(s) when this happens? External audio interface, DJ controller?
You should try deleting/renaming settings.xml to see if something there is causing the freeze.

if you are using windows it will be at
\Documents\VirtualDJ
\Documents\VirtualDJ

aside from renaming the plugins file as mentioned in the other thread - try this also
back up VirtualDJ folder - on a thumbdrive or something (you should do that every so often anyhow)
before opening - go into MyDocuments/VirtualDJ/Skins and if you downloaded any of the newer video skins - delete them. but only the live video skins you downloaded an no others.
then try to start it up.
call it an experiment.
