When I attempt to search for a song I type the name of the artist/track in the search bar and the "searching" prompt appears, but no songs appear. When I then click to a different subfolder, "searching" changes to "browsing" but no tracks under the selected folders appear. It just seems to endlessly search and browse. All songs have been added to the search database feature.

Do you have filedate selected in the search criteria?

Filedate is not an option in the dropdown menu when I click the node next to the search bar for options.

True, but that is not where you select which data appears in the browser.
Please ensure that you do not have File Date as one of your selected columns shown in the browser, because it will slow down searches considerably.

"File Date" is not one of the columns I have selected to display in the browser. Upon slowing my typing, the freeze seems to occur after typing the first letter of whatever track I am searching for.
