It does seem to have had an adverse effect on the display of text in skins though. I've noticed how text that used to fit fine now doesn't fit.

It's a VDJ 7 default skin, but it's affecting VDJ 8 skins too. I just used that as an example because the problem is very obvious.

I'm still on 5045 because 5046 apparently only fixed a Mac issue, and I'm on PC.
Oh hang on - why does 5046 EA only say "Fix some texts difficult to read on non-retina mac" yet 5046 standard (same release date) lists lots of things?
The pop up that appears when I start VDJ only lists the EA fix, so I didn't update.
[later] OK so now I have allowed VDJ to update to 5046 and the text issue in the skins remains. I'm not sure which 5046 just installed though. Why are there two?
[even later] I've now updated the 64 bit version directly from the link in the 64 bit thread - still the same. However, my 32 bit version (auto updated to 5046) is OK.
