With DJ Controllers not having the band cut feature for sometime it seems, what effect can i apply to simply kill my low band dead instead of using a LP type filter?

If you want to kill the lows, you need to use a HP filter, not LP.
LP is Low Pass (the lows get through). HP is High Pass (kills the lows).

thanks for your reply, i loose so much amplification on that channel with a HP filter is there not a way just to simply kill the eq bands and have some boost? I really struggle at 180-200 bpm without it.

If you remove frequencies then of course the output will get quieter. Not as many frequencies in the signal.
You could try using a compressor/limiter on the master FX slot to compensate - or just turn the channel up while you're using the filter.
