Topic: Independent loops, effects and crossfaders on stems

Is there already a request for Independent loops, effects and crossfaders on stems?
Because then I can't find it...

Anyways... It would still be some powerful added features
(you can probably guess why I'm mentioning those 3 features :) )

I'm curious about what you mean with, Independent loops, effects and crossfaders on stems?

So that, for example, you could loop the vocal without affecting the rest of the track.

That was really cool features.
I really like the effects, but no need for more crossfader when using eq knobs on the channels.

If you want to make a try ... These are things i tested last year (with some success), VDJ can do it right now
only no skin implement this, maybe you can take some ideas there

how? remember:
VDJ Can have multiple decks
decks can apply to left or right or nowhere
Loading a track in multiple decks only load tracks and compute stems once
split stems on multiple track can be acheive
sync play per side exist

once a track is loaded in 4 decks and one deck only exposes one stem you are done
you get one stem per deck ... with individual fx loops
and for crossfader .... only affect deck to crossfader side or nowhere

threads existed about this... i also send some scripts to emulate multideck functions like load, play slip loop
only thing i didn't do was jog (as i say, this were tests, just to see what could be done, no finalization)

you can try by using any skin with 8 or more decks
experimentatal vb_8decks (because it was the one i used for that) have some facilities (assignment & crossfaders
custom 99 buttons, even custom buttons for multi tracks are a mess to set up, and scripts exist for it)

these were initial tests, better scripts exist now

so yes this can be actually achieve with VDJ, with some work :)

badly vb_8decks is only usefull to make tests (can try things with different decks states side by side)
