Topic: Unable to see android phone as usb drive
blckjckPRO InfinityMember since 2008
When I try to export files or browse folders VDJ does not see my phone as a drive. When I open the drive in Windows explorer and try to drag the file to a deck it will not load. VLC is able to play the file directly from the phone.

It apears that it is because it shows up as a media device and does not get a drive letter. I am not having any luck trying to get it a drive letter.

Depends on phone and Android version
Most of the time 4 modes exist : Charge and MTP and PTP and USB network sharing
USB MSC, or UMS can exist too and is the simplest but obsoleted

In a way to get the phone mapped to a letter using windows UMS or MTP must be selected
WARNING: Some phone need the phone to be open for this to work

as usual correct device driver have to be installed (should be automatic though)

That would be great, thank you!

Thank you Nicolux, I've explored this briefly. Hopefully Adion can come up with a solution so I don't have to try and get each computer I use to work.
