In most search engines stuff like that is done with annotations

So that for instance "robin" in quotes returns Robin tracks (if search on artist is enabled), but won't return Robin Schulz tracks

And for instance ed shreeran -shape will return all Ed Sheeran tracks except the ones with the word Shape in them like Shape of you (if search on artist and title are enabled)

I would probably recommend going more in that direction instead of adding new search fields for any needed combination of advanced searches

Hi Klaus,
exactly what you say here does not work in VirtualDJ!!

I tested that:

"Robin" does not work
or Ed Sheerans -shape doesn't work either

He said search engines, not Virtual DJ.

If you want to do this kind of thing, I'd suggest creating a filter folder and just editing the string to do what you need each time.

I understand it that Klaus meant how it goes in VDJ.
"Bangbros - ass face"
=
Bangbros
+
Ass face
is found.
"Bangbros -ass face"
-----> Ass face is "not" found.
And yes - this is how search engines work too
and VDJ
(At least for me)

"That is not true. I was wrong"

Yes, I was suggesting that you wished for that kind of functionality instead of adding more and more search fields for different functions :)

As groovindj said, for more complex queries easiest would be to create a filter folder and just edit it when you need it
