Has anyone had issues regarding vdj and usb microphone inputs. There seems to be a random issue where the microphone sounds distorted and as if there is a low residence noise over it. The only way to describe it is a dalek. It is a very random fault and the only way to correct it is to pull out the USB and replace it. Seems to reset it. Has anyone else had this issue and if so how did you correct it.

It would help if you told us what microphone you're using.
Possibly the issue is caused by having audio buffer size set too low.

Don't know the make of microphone, however it happens with different ones. The common thing is they are usb. It also occured when we used to a mic witb mixing desk viia usb so dont think it's down to mic setting.

I use a Blue Yeti usb mic:

and at times .. for me typically 40 min into set will sound like.. as someone said . I am with a lot of bees. (actually my voice has a buzz sound.. (didn't know what Darlek sounded like, so did a search and found this on youtube: Voice of Dalek , which is so close.. mine has bit of more a buzz sound)
Disconnecting and reconnecting the mic fixes it .. prob for another 40 min (time can vary) But will never be when first used(or reconnected).
Have not reported since I do not understand its source.. Latency monitor barely registers anything.
Have not had it happen when using Zoom or Discord or General recording, the only other times I extensively use the mic besides VDJ.
Will continue to investigate.

After my earlier post, I looked at many win 10, audio and power settings, and don't believe I changed any. But then could not reproduce the darlek mic sound .. even after 4 hours of throwing everything at it. Which is good, .. but then may never know what is/was the cause. Will post again as I learn more.
