Topic: Triggering multiple bpm when analyzing for it?
It find that it's a bit hit and miss if VDJ will agree that it's detecting a multi bpm track when using "Re-analyze (multiple bpm)"

For instance I've "constructed" this track to try it out:
https://www.dropbox.com/s/ro68wfxj3lrwdj8/Mosquito%20Mojito%20Multi%20BPM.mp3?dl=0

It starts at 99 bpm. Then a little after the 1 min mark it gradually starts changing to 122 bpm, which it hits at around 1:31. After that it's stays at 122 bpm until the end at 2:35

When it's analyzed I get it detected at 122 bpm
But when I then use "Re-analyze (multiple bpm)"I don't get any more detected anchors, and the whole tracks stays detected at 122 bpm

I seem to recall that I should be able to get a section at another bpm when the section is more than 60 sec?

Can you try with experimentalBeatAnalyzer enabled?

Interesting test.

I downloaded the track to give it a try.. and find that it is originally scanned to be 121 BPM
Original scan: https://gyazo.com/3cef5b215311ce1099b13d0302a7a8f3

then if one Re-Analyzes it for multiple BPMs it finds 3 sections with BPMs of:

99.001..........at beat 0
121.079........at beat 88
120.999........at beat 167
see video:

and the beat grid, though not perfect, is pretty good.

Update: The above is with experimentalBeatAnalyzer set to YES

I totally forgot about experimentalBeatAnalyzer
It works as expected when experimentalBeatAnalyzer is on :)

it gradually starts changing

Atomix staff have always said that it's not designed for gradually changing tempo, but for tracks that switch from one tempo to another.

It's a shame because gradually changing tracks are more common, and IMO DJ software analysis in 2022 should be capable of doing this without manually adding anchors.

Ideally not just following the drift and adding anchors, but also (optionally) being able to straighten out the tempo....
