In the Mapping section in the settings, it detects my custom MIDI controller, however, when I map the "0-SLIDER0" key to the "level" action using the action picker (color picker icon at the bottom of the screen), it doesn't do anything. How can I fix this? I can't find any guide and/or tutorial for this.

does it pick up any action? and if so what action are you trying to use on a slider?

It does pick up the action, and I did do everything that was mentioned in the link you sent. What I tried to do was to map one of my knobs to the volume level of deck 1, exactly how the guide stated, but after mapping the actions and saving, none of the mapped knobs move when I move the knobs on my MIDI controller. The action that I mapped was the audio filter for deck 1.
