I always refresh, by clicking another folder, the re-click the videos folder. but today, my new videos aren't in my VDJ video folder. ..Just the video folder on my hard dive.

I was just messing around with Videos and mixing a few, I realized I didn't set the folders for Music Videos as a favorite. So, I saved the two video folders I have music videos in (Clean and Dirty lyrics).
All of a sudden, videos will not display in folders, all non-video songs show up, but not any videos.
I checked in settings (searched for video in search box) under "browser > show videos" was not enabled.
I enabled and now I can see the files in my video folders.

I stopped short of moving the folder to a new location (over 300 GB each folder), and I'm glad I didn't move them because it was a simple fix (once found).
If you didn't make a lot of changes, you can also try resetting back to "default settings". This is what I saw someone else pos for a similar issue, which made me think to double check settings.
I did see option in list to "hide" when I right moused a folder in VDJ for my Videos folder, I have saved game videos and some other videos. I didn't intentionally click it, but was thinking about using it.
Maybe it was triggered and caused videos to hidden in browser of VDJ.... but as stated another folder worked, just not the two I wanted to use. Could of been hidden by file type as the other videos where M4V not MP4.
Just checked.... it's under Local Music folder section, when I right-clicked on "Videos" (my Windows "Video" folder). What I did by accident was make those videos hidden (MP4 videos only I assume)

I always turn on to show video AND audio in the setting of "show only" and it works.
Thinking that vdj is set by default to see audiofiles first before analyzed ?
