BUILD 7805 (2023-11-16) same Problem here by Mac OS BigSur 11.7.10 (20G1427).
-> Updateded VDJ - programm stopped at opening with a MAC notice...
-> Deinstalled old VDJ - than new installing - programm stopped at opening with a MAC notice...
-> Only the BUILD 7759 is running.

Can you rename (or move to a different folder) your database.xml from your VirtualDJ HomeFolder and see if VDJ starts ?

This shouldn’t be a problem. We paid good money not to be renaming folders!!!

Could this be related to the removal of the "Old" embedded skins?
If they were using one and now it's not there...?

If the Old skin was selected, VDJ will switch to the default Pro layout on startup
