I don't really understand the function of "keep order" (right click on playlists). Regardless of whether I checked it or not, I don't notice any difference in the sorting of the songs in the playlist.
Can someone possibly explain this in more detail? Thank you!

lists with keep order set, will remember a different set of columns in the browser, and will have their order reset to the natural one everytime you move back to this folder.
Whereas lists without keep order, will use the default columns, and if you sort through a column, it will keep this sort column when you move to other folders or back.

ah thanks, I understand now. so it's more of a keep order column than keep order lists/songs
