Topic: Re-purchasing License After VDJ Upgrade
Hey guys, I was having a conversation with a friend a couple of days back about purchasing a Home Plus license for my Pioneer DJJ-SB2 last week Saturday and he mentioned that usually with software, you’re asked to re-purchase a license after a couple of major upgrades.

I countered that it isn’t that way with Virtual DJ software and scoured the internet for complaints and discussions about it but didn’t find any.

I want to push the question out to you guys who have been using VDJ licenses for years.

Might I have to re-purchase the Home Plus license sometime later in the future after a couple of major software upgrades?

No matter what the Licensing system may be in the future, Atomix has never asked and will never ask you more money for any minor or major update.

However, you may come to a situation where you will need to change your Hardware (broken device, discontinued , buy some better etc). In this case, you will need to re-purchase some other Plus license (assuming this is still available at that time), so a wise choice would be to purchase a Pro Infinity license

Okay, thank you for the information DJdad!

Errrr, about your second paragraph —and this is just to be absolutely sure — if I change from my current SB2 device to another SB2 device, I wouldn’t be asked to re-purchase my license, would I?

Your response doesn’t exactly clarify the term ‘change your hardware’.

SB2 to SB2 is fine if you have a SB2 home+ licence.
