I discorvd this problem a while back and I thought I'd mention it so that anyone else having this problem might get help. I use Atomix (which is the best program ever!) on one computer and have my music on another computer which has the big hard drive on (don't ask me why I don't put the hard drive in the same computer!). Anyway, when I set the home directory in the Atomix database to my network drive it works fine, but if the home network drive isn't turned on then Atomix just freezes at the splash screen. The only way I could get around this was to totally uninstalll and then reinstall (this obviously resets the home directories to the desktop or whatever). Anyway, the problem might not affect anyone as it's an unusual setup. Maybe in furture versions if the home directory cannot be found just reset them?
Anyway keep up the good work and I hope the new version is almost ready (lets face it, it has been a while..)
Atomix's is hands-down the best mixing program out there!

Open a registry editor.
StartRunregedit
Go to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINESoftwareAtomixMP3
Delete "Initial Folder"
Start the program.
The value will be recreated next time you choose a home folder.
P.S.
ALWAYS BACKUP YOUR REGISTRY BEFORE MODIFYING IT!!!!
